Setting up mandatory two-factor authentication (2FA)
Last updated:
Your administrator has activated mandatory two-factor authentication (2FA) for all users in your organisation. This means that you will be taken to a page to set up your 2FA the next time you login. You must complete this setup procedure to be able to access your Formcentric account.
How does my login process change?
You can no longer log in with just your password.
You will also need a six-digit code from an authenticator app.
Setting up 2FA is mandatory and this procedure cannot be skipped.
Once set up, your account is significantly more secure.
How to set up two-factor authentication
Step 1: Install an authenticator app
Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) on your smartphone.
Search for a authenticator app, e.g.:
Google Authenticator
Authy
Microsoft Authenticator
Install your chosen app.
Step 2: Log in to Formcentric
Go to the Formcentric login screen as usual.
Enter your email address and password.
You are automatically forwarded to 2FA setup.
Step 3: Setting up 2FA
A dialog box with a QR code is shown.
Open your authenticator app on your phone.
Scan the QR code or enter the setup code provided manually.
Your app now displays a six-digit code.
Enter this code into the dialog box.
Confirm your input.
Your two-factor authentication is now set up and you have full access to your account.
Future logins
The next time you log in, you will need the following:
Your email address and your password (as before).
The current code from your authenticator app (regenerated every 30 seconds).
