To protect your Formcentric account, we offer you the option of setting up two-factor authentication (2FA).
This additional security measure ensures that only authorised individuals have access to your account – even in cases where your password has been compromised.
When 2FA has been set up, an additional security code is required in addition to the password. This code is regenerated every 30 seconds. This ‘second factor’ is provided by an authentication app on your smartphone (e.g. Google Authenticator or Authy). After 2FA setup, you can no longer log in with just your password.
How to set up two-factor authentication
Step 1: Install an authentication app
You need to install an authentication app if you don’t yet have such an app on your smartphone.
Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) on your phone.
Search for a authentication app, e.g.:
Google Authenticator
Authy
Microsoft Authenticator
Installed your chosen app.
Step 2: Activate two-factor authentication in Formcentric
The next step is to activate two-factor authentication in Formcentric.
Log in to your Formcentric account.
Click your profile picture at the top right of the screen and then click My profile.
Scroll to the Two-factor authentication section.
Click Setting up two-factor authentication. A dialog box is shown.
Now open your authentication app on your smartphone.
Scan the QR code that is displayed or enter the setup code provided manually.
In the dialog box, enter the six-digit code displayed by your app.
Confirm your input.
Your two-factor authentication is now activated.
Log in with activated two-factor authentication
After activating two-factor authentication, you must always log in with two factors in the future.
First, enter your email address and password as normal.
You are then asked to enter the code from your authentication app.
After entering this code, you are given access to your account.
